SCADA
is a software that can be operated with an desk top PC or a laptop.
The obvious advantage that a SCADA system offers as against the conventional
PLC-OPI system is remote monitoring and control over the entire system;
along with a gamut of other facilities such as :

Continuous process status indication: An entire screen is dedicated
to display online status of the critical monitored parameters, ( viz.
the chamber temperature sensors & the chamber pressure) at the convenience
your desk.

Mimic representation: The entire equipment operation along with its
constituent components and monitored parameters can be represented diagrammatically
with which process progress can be visually monitored & controlled.

Report generation of process performance as against conventional printout
as the only means to track process performance. SCADA provides a facility
to generate report directly as excel spreadsheets avoiding redundant
printouts. moreover with digital storage ,availability of space is greatly
increased.

Trending facility: The online progress of the chamber temperature and
pressure (sensed by individual sensors placed in the chamber)can be
each plotted against time for monitoring its performance and detect
any error if existent.

Online alarm facility: Alarm conditions as defined for the process have
a dedicated screen with details of the alarm condition, such as time
of occurrence and possible corrective measure.

Alarm history facility: It is possible to view an alarm condition and

even in his absence.
